I’ll be the first to admit that having work portraits done is not always the most exciting thing for the person getting them taken. (As the person behind the lens, I always have fun since I love what I do of course.) It reminds me of the long lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles and the less-than-flattering pictures that are, without fail, the end result.
Which is why, during this session I recently did for a small DC firm, I tried to liven things up a bit by using a soft blue background. The employees got into it too and brought along changes of clothes and accessories to make things as fun as possible.
It ended up being a great session – who knew work portraits could actually be fun? Well, I knew, but now maybe others will know too!
